Hi my name is Glenda and I’m an end of life doula. Doula is a greek word meaning ‘service’, for me it’s a service from the heart. Before becoming a doula I was a paramedic with NSW Ambulance for over 20 years. During this time I witnessed many people die in situations not of their choice or making, I want people to know that they have options. My paramedic work has prepared me well to support people on their end of life journey. I provide reassurance through continuity of care, I offer medical advocacy, end of life vigil and after death care. This support is offered through information, education and resources. I’m passionate about educating our communities in end of life preparations, empowering people to make choices and to die consciously.
